CCVMP ENGRAVING PROCESS

A comment or question was raised at the EC meeting last evening about the process involved with getting plaques and bricks sandblasted.
Ronald, Rebecca and I met for lunch today (thanks Rebecca for a great lunch) and drafted a directive that should provide a map for us to follow, as well as those who will follow us.  As we move "on down the road" there might be adjustments, but we believe that this is easily workable.
In addition, I have added two persons to the Credentials Committee, specifically for the very important proofing of the final stencil:  Wanda Maddox and Betty Levans.  These ladies will take a considerable burden from the Chair.
My daily stop by the Park found the county almost ready for the final pouring. I think they will pour as soon as this incoming rain passes -- I approved the placement of the fire pit and the foundation for the Bell Tower ----

In addition to the plaques reported in process last night, I turned over to Ronald 4 more (with money) today.  ---- Just received an email about 4 more end plaques very possible ----

 CCVMP ENGRAVING PROCESS

1.    The Credentials Chair will meet with a person seeking to purchase a plaque and determine the acceptability of the Veteran.  The precise wording for the plaque will be determined and the applicant will sign the agreement.
2.   The Credentials Chair will collect the correct funds ($200 or $300) and forward the check to the Treasurer who will record by name.
3.   When 48 plaques have been sold (one side of a wall) the Credentials Chair will meet with the Treasurer to ascertain that all records match and then meet with Sammy Robinson to submit the work.
4.   Applications for bricks should be processed by collecting specific wording with the signature of the requestor.  They should be accumulated until 20 bricks are ready and then meet with Sammy.
5.   End wall plaques should be processed at the same time a new wall is processed. But, when there is enough combination of end plaques and bricks waiting for engraving, contact Sammy for a meeting. End plaques should be processed in groups of 4 so that the entire end is sandblasted at one time.  Persons buying four plaques at one time can select any wall that is open at the time.
6.   Once the information is turned over to Sammy, he will forward to the stencil company to have the stencil cut.  Once that is returned, the Credentials review Committee should very carefully compare the actual stencil with the original (signed) application for the plaque.
7.   Once the Committee approves the stencil is returned to Sammy for sandblasting.
