BRONZE INDEX DIRECTORY - ALPHABETICAL LISTING OF NAMES ON WALLS OF HONOR

The Park has grown as the years have passed and it became necessary to prepare an Alphabetical Directory to aid in locating an individual plaque and these are found on each side of the walkway as you enter the park.  Walls of Honor 11 and 12 were installed in January 2006.  Shortly thereafter the “Alphabetical Index-Directory” was purchased from the East Point Foundry ($10,237.50) and installed for the first 12 Walls.  The large polished black granite stones were purchased for $8,500 each and the first three bronze plaques were attached to the granite stone on the left side as you enter the Park.  The total cost of the stones, three bronze plaques, and labor for installation was $31,377.96.

On   the  Alphabetical   Directory  the  names  of  the  individual Veterans are listed in alphabetical order  with  the Wall  Number where his/her plaque can be found.  The Walls have a number on each end to help in  locating a particular plaque.  This  will  assist visitors who  want  to see  their or  their family member's special plaque.

On the right side of the walkway there is an Alphabetical list of the Veterans on Walls of Honor 13 - 16.

In the middle of the huge polished black granite stone is another bronze plaque containing the names of those on Walls of Honor 17 - 20.  There is room for another bronze Index listing for Walls of Honor 21-24, which should be placed after those walls are completed and installed.
